If you follow the information from this guide, it may help you ignore calendar years, lose weight, and become AGELESS and YOUTHFUL. I will share with you a lot of tips I have learned since 1995 regarding nutrition, natural remedies, and how I lost 75 pounds in less than a year.

People put too much emphasis on chronological age. Age is just a number that wouldn’t mean much if we didn’t associate it with conditions that we are constantly reminded to expect in later years. If you watch much television, the ads will certainly make you associate advanced calender years and gray hair with arthritis pain, impotence, senility, and a host of other ailments, both physical and mental. I assure you IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY, if you follow a few proven techniques including limiting food choices to ones that are nutrient dense.

The average person has been led to believe that as time goes by and we get older, we will experience deterioration in body and mind. THE KEYS TO HOLISTIC HEALING

1) Cleanse and flush out the toxins. We are constantly exposed to toxins through inhalation, ingestion, and topical exposure. Toxins and chemicals can invade the cells, breaking them down and diminishing our resistance to disease. Acute toxicity can cause chronic ailments, tumors, reproductive complications, biological mutation as well as skin and eye irritations. 2) Boost the immune system. Our immune system protects us from invading organisms. Immune cells cooperate to rid the body of unwelcome invaders such as bacteria or viruses. Malfunction of the immune system can result in many diseases such as allergies, cancer, colds, flu..... the list is endless. 3) Balance your body pH. Create an alkaline internal environment. The pH level of internal fluids affects every cell in our bodies. Chronic overacidity corrodes body tissue and will interrupt all cellular activities and functions from the beating of the heart to the neural firing of the brain. You can test the pH levels of saliva, urine, and blood. Blood pH should be 7.365 (slightly alkaline). The relationship between acid and base is scientifically quantified on a scale of 1 to 14 known as pH. On that scale 7 is neutral. Below 7 is acid and above it alkaline. 4) Increase oxygen in the cells. Oxygen carries the energy of life itself. Anaerobic microbes cause disease. (The term anaerobic means “without oxygen”). Anaerobic microorganisms cannot live in active forms of oxygen. Keeping the body well oxygenated helps us be free of disease. (Essential oils available from Young Living Essential Oils.)

5) Raise the vibrational frequency of the body. All atoms have vibrational motion. Each periodic motion has a frequency (the number of oscillations per second) measured in Hertz. Dry herbs 12-22 MHz. Essential oils 52-320 MHz. (Rose oil has the highest vibration of any substance.) Einstein’s theories assert that all matter is energy. Scientists have measured the body’’s vibrational frequency when people are in various physical and emotional states. 6) Nourish your body with healthy food choices. Eat a balanced diet of nutrient rich food including lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, and raw nuts and seeds. Choose a variety of foods based on nutrient content (cooked and raw) from as many plant-based sources as possible. In addition to good quality protein include healthy fat sources (flax oil, olive oil, avocados, coconut, almonds, walnuts, grass-fed beef, organic eggs) and healthy (complex) carbohydrates (bananas, oatmeal, white beans, lentils, sweet potatoes, chick peas, pearl barley, whole wheat pasta, and brown rice). 7) Avoid toxic chemicals. Learn to read labels! If you can’t pronounce it, don’t eat it, inhale it or put it on your skin. Processed and prepared foods, personal care, and household products have many chemicals that are linked to a long list of chronic ailments.   • Acesulfame-K, acesulfame potassium
  • Artificial colorings - blue 1 & 2, Red 3, Yellow 6, green 3 Cyclamate Olestra (Olean)
  • Potassium bromate MSG (monosodium glutamate)

8) Drink enough water to keep your body well hydrated. The body is 70% water and pure, chemical free water is important for total health. Water is key to all body functions including: digestion, circulation, bones and joints, assimilation, elimination, muscles, nerves, glands and the senses. Pure, pH balanced or alkaline water is one of your best natural protections against all kinds of diseases and viral infections, such as influenza and pneumonia. Water is vital to all body fluids, tissues, cells, lymph, blood and all glandular secretions. It contains all nutritive elements in solution, as well as toxins and body wastes. 10) Balance Blood Sugar. Keeping your blood sugar levels under control is probably the most important factor in boosting and maintaining energy levels, controlling and preventing diabetes, curbing your appetite, and losing weight.

In addition to avoiding processed white flour and sugar, as well as other processed, refined starchy carbohydrates there are several things that I suggest you include in your diet along with soluble fiber. (Controlling blood sugar is another benefit of fiber). Cinnamon can increase insulin sensitivity which means that it is helping your body control blood sugar while simultaneously allowing your body to produce less insulin. Use as much cinnamon as you can tolerate in your daily meals. Add to smoothies, chia puddings, healthy desserts or in any dish you would enjoy.
Chronically high insulin levels can cause you to gain weight. Studies suggest that cinnamon reduced fasting blood glucose levels by 18-29% after about a month.

I have also found some of the Young Living oils and supplements to be very helpful in balancing blood sugar.

11) Get Regular Exercise. Some say that exercise is even more important than diet and good nutrition. If you pay close attention to both, the results are powerful and you have the foundation of a very effective anti-aging arsenal. Even as little as 30 minutes a day has been proven beneficial.

Exercise can lead to changes in the brain that help deal with stress which is the source of a lot of health problems. Here are a few of the benefits of exercise:

  • Boosts HDL (good) cholesterol
  • Improves the circulatory system
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Reduces the risk of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke
  • Strengthens muscles
  • Increases flexibility

Exercise doesn’t have to be boring workouts that you force yourself to do. 12) Get enough sleep. According to the Harvard Women’s Health Watch these are the areas that may suffer without enough sleep.

  • Learning and memory - sleep helps the brain save new information.
  • Metabolism and weight - lack of sleep may cause weight gain by interfering with the way carbohydrates are processed and stored, and by altering levels of hormones affecting appetite.
  • Mood - sleep loss can cause irritability, impatience, and inability to concentrate.
  • Cardiovascular health - serious sleep disorders have been linked to hypertension, increased stress hormone levels, irregular heartbeat, heart attacks, and stroke.
  • Disease - not getting enough sleep alters immune function, including the function of killer cells leaving one at risk of developing life threatening diseases.
